Rare breakthrough coronavirus cases sicken Virginia mom, daughter - The Washington Post

Rare breakthrough coronavirus cases sicken Virginia mom, daughter - The Washington Post: Kim Marin, 51, of Fairfax County, has been fully vaccinated since mid-April and her 12-year-old daughter has been fully vaccinated since mid-June. They both tested positive for the coronavirus.

'“I think the thing that’s so startling is that we have been really sick,” Marin said. “The messaging has been that cases like ours should be pretty mild. . . . We’re not in the hospital, so we’re so grateful for that. But it still has not been an easy week.”'

The message is clear: Vax AND Mask.
