Roland Burris' response to my concern over Elena Kagan's Nomination

Thank you for your views and opinions regarding President Obama’s nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Solicitor General Elena Kagan began her remarkable career in law graduating with honors from Harvard School of Law. She then clerked for Abner Mikva of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and Justice Thurgood Marshall, who was the Solicitor General. She joined the faculty of the University of Chicago Law School as an assistant professor in 1991, and became a tenured professor four years later. Solicitor General Kagan also served as Associate White House Counsel for President Bill Clinton from 1995 to 1999. She held a dual position as Deputy Assistant as well as Deputy Director for President Clinton’s Domestic Policy.
