Derek Chauvin sentencing: Former police officer sentenced to 22.5 years in death of George Floyd - CNN: Hennepin County District Court Judge Peter Cahill ruled Thursday night that Chauvin "failed to demonstrate ... the Court abused its discretion or committed error such that Defendant was deprived of his constitutional right to a fair trial."

I don't think that was long enough.  I think he should have been sentenced to the maximum sentence of 40 years, without the possibility of parole and placed in the general population.  When you torture and murder someone, you should pay the price.
